About Me

I have worked in the fashion and sewing industry for over 40 years and am an accomplished seamstress and fitter.  I have several years experience in the bridal industry providing a fitting and alterations service with brides, bridesmaids and mothers of brides. I have worked in two leading bridal outlets in Nottingham City Centre where I have carried out the full fitting and alteration service.

My sister and I decided to launch Perpetual Brides as a family business and chose the name as it not only has a strong connection to our family but it also means ‘Everlasting and enduring’. These words sum up to me what a marriage and a business is all about.

 

I am very passionate about the bridal industry and my goal is to always have a happy bride. I feel I achieve this because I am a total perfectionist. I enjoy a great relationship with the brides I work with because I listen to them, I make them feel comfortable, I laugh with and sometimes, cry with them. There is no better feeling than at the final fitting day when each bride realises she has that dream dress and thanks me for making it fit so perfectly.   My testimonials page shows what some of my brides have to say about my service.
